Sample Sale Shopping

One of the best parts about living in the city is that fabulous sample sales come to you. When I lived in Orange County I would have to drive all over to hit up the good sample sales. If I went, I felt like I had to commit to buy just to make the trek there worthwhile.

Now that I live in San Francisco, the sample sales come to me!

Top 5 tips for successful sample sale shopping:

1.) Get there early: There will be less people and you will have a better pick of the items
2.) Dress: I recommend leggings, a loose fitting shirt or sweater and comfortable shoes. Leggings are a must unless you don’t mind showing your booty to the room. Most sample sales have communal dressing rooms.
3.) Purse: Wear a hands free purse. Those hangers get heavy and it’s one less thing to keep track of if it’s strapped around your body!
4.) Bring cash: Oftentimes you will get a discount if you are paying with cash (usually around 10%)
5.) Negotiate: If you are buying a lot of items. There’s nothing wrong with asking for a little extra discount
