“You’re my crafting idol”

Oh my goodness! I made a dress! I would consider this a success as #1 I just took my first 3 hour course on sewing two weeks ago at Workshop SF #2 I actually finished the project, #3 I am able to wear it in public and #4 I got complements!

I bought the pattern online through Sew This Patterns on ETSY. It’s a Vintage 1973, McCall’s pattern. I sewed dress “B” but I modified it by not doing sleeves and not adding the belt. The stitching needs work and I should work on being more precise but all in all, I’m really happy with how this turned out.

I am planning to buy more patterns and see what else I can sew together.

The Sock Monster

I am doing great so far at keeping up with my new years resolutions! I took my sewing class on Saturday and it went really well. I made a “sock monster” in class which Ginger loved!!!! You can see her enjoying it below. Don’t worry; I took out the button eyes shortly after taking the picture. I also ordered a dress pattern from the 70’s online that I thought was adorable. Well see how that turns out.

As far as yoga, I’m back! I started back up last week and have gone three times so far. I did really well in class yesterday and got a few complements from the instructor so that’s encouraging. One more resolution to tackle still……….
