I’m in conserve mode at the moment, trying not to go nuts on spending, but I didn’t want to have any regrets of not purchasing treasures from our trip. The place where I got the most gifts for friends, family and myself was in the spice souk. Shop after shop with beautifully colored spices on display. I choose a shop and we went in and made some purchases…..only to come across another shop a few doors down that was filled with locals. Travel Tip: Try to shop where the locals shop for the best deals. Sure enough, everything was half the price of what we had just bought. What’s a girl to do? Buy, buy more and move on! I feel great about my spice purchases; I think I should have enough to last for the next 3-5 years!I knew from the get go that I wanted to come home with a pair of “Princess Jasmine” shoes. There was an endless assortment of brightly colored house shoes made of camel leather. I bought three pairs and thanks to some good bargaining, I spent under $15 a pair!
The shopping day of the trip was certainly a highlight for me!
