Snippet & Ink: All You Need is Love & Chocolate Shoot

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to work with the talented team behind one of my favorite wedding blogs: Snippet & Ink! The project was to style a Valentine’s Day shoot that was full of chocolate. Seriously, dream job. photo ba717812-88ba-41ff-87cd-16b48ebe2c23.jpg photo b7324e7d-82a4-4682-9363-ba61938629d2.jpgSeveral different wedding vendors were asked to choose their favorite types of chocolate and explain a bit about why they loved it. Their responses are sweet, funny and honest!

Edible Valentines Day Card DIY

We keep the pressure low for Valentine’s Day and a special card is all that we exchange. This year I decided to up the anti just a bit and made an edible Valentine’s Day card using Airheads Candy! photo 32f99b35-5bea-4439-9657-8a257757bff1.jpg photo c1024fdc-4be7-4d5e-8817-b349e5724200.jpgMaterial Needed:
- White Canvas
- Frosting
- Cutting Board
- Knife

Directions:
- Cut the airheads bars in even squares (1.5x1.5 inches)
- Cut each 1.5x1.5 inch square into quarters
- I wanted my heart to look pixelated so I laid it out on the cutting board before “gluing” into place
- Use the frosting to “glue” the airheads squares into place to create your message

Gift the edible card to your valentine and hopefully they will be willing to share with you!

Alt Summit Recap 2013

Alt summit recap 2013 There is something magic that happens when you step out from behind your computer and make face-to-face connections. Alt Summit 2013 was all about connections for me – reconnecting with friends I had met last year and establishing new connections with companies that I had only dreamt of working with.

I spent all of last week following up with people that I had met at Alt because it would be a huge mistake to walk away without taking the initiative and making something happen. I’m optimistic and excited to see where things go from here.

I took notes in every panel that I attended and I’m thrilled to share them with you! I hope these help you as much as they’ve already helped me!
