I always like to give the couples whose wedding I plan a little something on their wedding day. I realized that I had run out of congratulations cards and with a wedding coming up the next day, I decided it would be easier (and more fun) to make a custom card using material that I already had on hand!
The card came out really cute and based on your reactions to my Instagram picture, I’d say you guys liked it too!
Material: Computer paper, cardstock paper, decorative paper, washi tape, X-Acto Knife, Tacky Glue, scissors
– In a word document, choose a font you like and printout the words/shapes you want
– Tape the paper to the cardstock
– Cut out the sides and tops of the letters and shapes (don’t cut out the bottom!)
– Fold the words up
– Trim the decorative paper to be the same size as your card
– Glue the decorative paper to the inside of the card
Give-A-Way with Diamond Candle
It’s not an exaggeration when I say that we keep a candle burning pretty much around the clock when we’re home. I love the light scent that fills the room and the glowing light sets the perfect ambiance both day and night. So when Diamond Candles reached out to me to try one of their all-natural soy based candles I was thrilled. Oh, and what’s that you say!?! Each and every candle has a ring inside worth anywhere from $10 to $5,000! Gimmie! I poured over the scents available on the Diamond Candles website and decided to go with the honeysuckle candle. Its not as fun as a pyropet, but really what is?
I’m hooked. The candle is enough to fill a large room with the scent of fresh blooms but light enough not to overpower the space. I also love that it is soy based so it burns clean without leaving that black soot around the edge of the jar. It took some restraint but I was VERY patient when it came to pulling out the ring.
Truth be told, I figured the longer I waited the less wax that would be wasted and the longer my candle would last! The ring is really pretty! I’m fairly certain it’s a $10 ring but in my honest opinion, the ring is really a fun bonus to a great candle. I’m looking forward to wearing it and the process of waiting to reveal the ring while enjoying the candle was really fun!
Diamond Candle is kind enough to allow me to give-a-way a Diamond Candle to one of my readers.
